Prof. Mai convened and chaired the late-breaking session on on the devastating earthquake sequence in Turkey in February 2023, that included posters also by Prof. Jonsson of CDI @KAUST, and PhD student Tariq Anwar Aquib. Dr. Laura Parisi had two presentation on new seismic observations in Saudi Arabia: a poster on the first-ever OBS array in the Red Sea, and a talk on station corrections for earthquake-magnitude determination in the Gulf of Aqaba
