Biography

My research is mainly in the field of observational seismology, specifically focusing on earthquake detection and precise relocation of seismic events in various tectonic environments. I utilized template-matching (matched-filter) technique to study triggered/induced earthquakes in geothermal/volcanic regions and missing early aftershocks. Precise earthquake catalog obtained from machine learning algorithm and dense seismic array reveals regional seismicity and fault slip rates. Recently, the application of distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) acquisition technology has provided further opportunities for highly spatially dense and long-term seismic monitoring. During my postdoc at CES, I will be working on seismic data obtained at a geothermal test drilling site, as well as some regional seismicity in Saudi.
