O. Zielke participates in a field work with colleagues from the CEA in Qinghai province, China

08 August, 2019

During this field work, the team visited numerous sites along the Elashan fault -a relatively slow-moving right-lateral strike slip fault (assumed rate in the low mm/year range).

Goal of the work was to identify displaced geomorphic markers that are well datable in order to determine the fault’s slip rate and its variation along the fault and in time.
