Officially announced on June 16, 2021, Prof. Mai takes on his role as the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) for
the Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America (BSSA).
While the outgoing EIC Thomas Pratt (USGS) is completing his 5-year term by handling remaining
manuscripts and special sections, Martin Mai has started his activities as incoming EIC in July 2021
and is now in charge for any new submissions to BSSA as well as leading changes in the editorial
