During the visit, Ashok plans to use ground motion simulations to quantify and understand the effects of earthquakes on landslide occurrence and their sizes using various Artificial Intelligence algorithms. In particular, he will develop a methodology to incorporate ground motion time-series in AI models designed to predict earthquake-induced landslide hazards. This study will help to understand the Spatio-temporal effects of the ground motion on co-seismic and post-seismic landslide hazards and use that knowledge to estimate the landslide hazard in future earthquake events using probabilistic earthquake scenarios.
